[Outside wherever Laurence is with some clean clothes he got from Amaz*n. They're probably really stylish because he's so gay that he would be naturally good at that.]

[Or he's maybe being a bit of a gremlin.]

[ AGGRESSIVE CLOTHES CHANGING SOUNDS ]

Well, you're pretty cute when you're embarrassed too.

[Unfortunately, Kaworu is too sincere for his own good.]

Well, you didn't seem injured enough to be in danger of death so that is true.

I'm glad. I was worried when I saw you were bleeding. Others have been hurt so badly when they returned.

It is true. None of it hurts.

What happened?

We were students in some school? Club mates, whatever that means. Zhongli, Ali, and Akihiko, too. We had to go find someone.

[peripheries]

You saw them? Are they well?

[outdistanced]

...Yeah. They were.

They were pretty injured on the way out, though - way more than me. So we'll have to write them later and make sure they're okay.

[peripheries]

I wrote Akihiko to check on him.

[Rubs at his face]

I hope he's okay. I asked him to write you too.

[outdistanced]

Good. I- I think he was alright? He didn't look too beat up.

...Thanks. But it might be a little bit, I guess, since we were all too busy today.

[peripheries]

It's alright. I just wanted to know he was okay. I don't need a letter back.

[outdistanced]

Well, he should. That jerk never wrote me at all and I already asked him last Saturday.

[peripheries]

[There's a pause. A few stops and starts before eventually Kaworu just clasps his hands together in front of his stomach, like he's trying to keep emotions from flowing out, shoving back down anything too strong.]

I hope I see them again too.

[outdistanced]

[ there's a second where he just pauses to stare at kaworu, both in surprise and concern. ]

...Right. [ he does miss them, too. ] We will, sometime.

[peripheries]

[don't look at him like that! He'll just look at his shoes then.]

Do you really trust that?

[outdistanced]

[ chews on the inside of his cheek. ]

Zhongli said that they're making progress there. I don't know what that means, but I trust him.

[peripheries]

I'll try to trust him too then.

[gripping his hands together again.]

Claude sent me a letter and said I should keep trying to trust. So I'll do that.
