[ eupha can be found in the tavern, cleaning up the dining area after the entire gd game ended up staying here last night.

she is generally calm and focused, but occasionally her attention drifts to the bar, and a feeling of sadness rises to the surface.

but then she sees laurence, and she offers him a faint smile, meant to be encouraging. ]

[ he can help clean up. there were so many of us here we probably need the help.

he doesn't return the smile. ]

Well, I am not sure what to call it.

...Worried, maybe? There's still tomorrow to get through.

... A bit of that, yes. There is still at least one more person who we will lose...

... Although, it is a relief to know they are not truly lost. I saw that there were more letters yesterday.

[ not great. neither is the idea of losing two, but they won't know until tomorrow anyway. ]

Oh, yeah. I got a couple, too. [ a little bloom of happiness. ] Knowing they were out there was one thing, but actually hearing from them again? It's different.

It is! I was even fortunate enough to see Charlie the other day.

A dream? No... it was more of a waking vision. I saw her speaking with Brimstone.

...For real? I didn't know they could do something like that.

That's got to be a good thing, right?

Oh, well... It was not their doing, exactly. It was because of a ritual I performed in the graveyard, with Marcoh's help. It seems it pleased the spirits so much that they gave us a blessing, one that allowed us to look into another plane for a brief time.

But I do think it was a good thing. I have the impression that they may not be far from us.

Still, that's awesome.

Close enough that they can watch over us and the chao can bring us mail. I wonder why it's taken so long to find them if they're that close, though...
