The evidence is gone, but I'm going to try to look. There was that list of people who fit the shoes, right?

That's true... Richie, Jacopo, Mizu,... [Laurence himself], Claude, Akihiko, and Yves.

Yves had so many injuries on him, I don't think he'd be successful. Zhongli was extremely good with the spear.

You could argue that about Richie or Claude, too. [ richie with one arm, claude with a broken arm. ] I don't know if Akihiko would know how to fight something like that. Jacopo can fight, but I don't know how well. And Mizu...

[ one of their sword obsessives. obviously mizu can fight. ]

That day... Jacopo had injuries on his knuckles, but it those came from punching a mirror. I have no idea if Richie knows how to fight. It might be hard to fight one handed... But I don't know how much strength you can put behind a frying pan one handed.

[Pretty decent choice if you don't want to use your own weapon. Or if you don't have a weapon at all.]

Mizu didn't take off any clothes, but that's normal for him, right?

I think if a frying pan's sturdy enough, maybe it won't matter how strong the person swinging it is? I've never had to think about it before.

...But yeah, that's normal for Mizu. Though it really shouldn't be when we're all on the evidence lists.

You'd still have to swing it hard enough to... Do what it did to Zhongli. Otherwise it wouldn't be effective.

... Maybe we should've pressed him more.

Honestly, I don't think he cares how much we try to press him on stuff like that. He's never bothered before, even when we were on the list last week, too.

True... He would be strong enough. And... He also asked me exactly where I was hit near beginning of trial...

It could've been a guess. Some of you had those marks in the same spots, right?

But... We were the only ones with marks on our sides. Everybody else had it on their arms or thighs.

I don't think anyone knew that at first, though.

I don't think we even figured out what the bruises came from, did we?

Everybody who showed their bruise had the same one. I checked Zhongli's spear against my bruise, and that was a match.

And we thought maybe he was trying to mark his path, right?

Right. It was either that, or... somebody was trying to hide their injuries.

I still don't understand the corndogs in people's pockets...

His weapon was hidden where he died, too... They could've taken it, done that, and backtracked to hide it, if they wanted.

God, that was so weird. What the hell kind of clue is that?

There's no reason Zhongli would hide his own weapon. So maybe it was someone trying to cover their own injuries.

Hmm... Only two people had corndogs, right?

No, but they could have tried to stall us from finding what caused the injuries in the first place.

Just Jiaoqiu and Chrono, I think. And Zhongli himself. Neither of them were on the list for whoever fit the boots they found, though.

Jiaoqiu and Chrono were both in the flower garden... But almost everybody was there that night. Is there any significance or was it something else to throw us off the trail?

I don't think they found anything else there when they went to check, so... I don't know.
