It's genetic. Most genetic illnesses can be managed, but not cured.

Over time, those suffering from it will experience an irreversible chronic dissociation of their physical structure.

It's more like... I'll lose my connection with my body. Right now, I can talk, run and jump like anyone else. But, over time, I'll start doing those things a little slower than others. Until, eventually, I won't be able to do anything.

The lines between what's real and what isn't become so blurry I can't tell them apart.
