Doesn't lighting up kind of defeat the purpose of sunglasses?

It's just to look good and protect your eyes from the sun, isn't it? The lights are different.

[ they're cheap? the lights aren't even that cool? ]

And if you have lights right in your face anyway, what's the point?

[ Adolphe agrees the lights aren't that cool--just annoying to look at the person. But for the wearer... ]

It's not directly in your eyes, but in your blind spots, right? So it won't blind you.

he picks them up and hands them to adolphe. ]

He takes them and looks down. ]

[ He squints at the sunglasses and like. Okay. He puts them on with reluctance. The lights shine! He doesn't seem put off by the lights. ]

... I barely see them, but I know they exist.

But you still see them...? [ hm. ] They're weird. But they look better on you than they would on me.

[ Adolphe seems functional this morning which is surprising considering how much he drank last night. But he's here in Whoville, looking at his own present box and looks up from where he sits. His yellow chao thing sits next to him. ]

Are you here to pick up your present?

[outdistanced]

[ a green chao waddles along behind laurence. they each have a cup of cocoa today to combat the cold. ]

Oh, is there another one down there? I found it earlier this week, but the thing it gave me just disappeared.

[chrysanths]

[ thats so fuckin cute........... enjoy the hot cocoa little guy ]

I thought I just lost it, but you too?

But the same photo is inside of this box that's addressed to me.

Yeah. Not sure what happened there... This little guy didn't own up to it.

[ Adolphe looks back at the boxes and spots one. ]

I see it. It's behind those two in the back.

[ He doesn't want to open other people's presents. ]

[ he nods and sets his cocoa aside... somewhere. and goes to extract this gift. ]

Moment of truth. [ opens it, frowning as he peers inside. ] ...Yeah. Same one. That's weird, right?

Maybe it's like that for some people? What do you have in there?

[ A smoothie? ]

Euphausia told me that she received coal for some reason...? Looks random.

Laurence will come across a reddish brown wolf plush on the ground. It compels you (weakly) without force to be aggressive to it in some way. ]

[ what. he stares at it, debating what to do. hm.




teleports it into a trash can. ]

[ The plush continues to radiate aggro from the trash can right at Laurence. is this all you can do? pathetic.

But then, Adolphe reappears out of nowhere several feet from the ground in a short distance away and falls onto the ground on his back. Oof. ]

[ wtf?? why is this thing so annoying?

- ahhhh the jumpscare!! forget this dumb plush!! ]

A-Adolphe? Are you okay?

[ Adolphe groans and sits up, seeing Laurence like. Oh. Hello. ]

Laurence. I'm--fine.

[ It's fine. This is nothing. He stands after getting his bearings. ]

Have you seen this... doll? Toy... thing? It resembles a wolf.

[ He has no idea it's in the trash. The plush itself doesn't talk, but the aggro that constantly radiates gives off the vibe as if it's speaking to Laurence himself: oooh i bet you're gonna feel guilty soooo bad and you should absolutely feel bad ]

[ He's not sure how to explain it. ]

It's supposed to be a decoy, but I don't fully understand how it works.
