Yeah. Unfortunately, dragons and humans have clashed for centuries. Dragons rule based on strength, and that includes stealing whatever they think they can from weaker people. So when dragons first saw humans keeping livestock, well, you can guess what happened.

[And thus the fighting began.]

It's only grown worse over the centuries as more ways of killing dragons have been invented. The ones born now are not responsible for the actions of the past, and yet they're killed regardless.
