I guess it's better than sleeping out in a blank sky with nothing but eggs and a bunch of weirdos for company. Not to mention the clothes... Seriously, who just changes people's clothes while they're out cold? It's creepy. This place better come with locks on the doors.

I've never heard of abilities that can change someone's clothes for them.

Yeah. I wonder if they did anything with it. We'll have to see how respectful people are.

It's all in the imagination. You've never seen or heard of anyone transforming or shapeshifting? It's a similar kind of thing, if you think about it.

I know about Iris and Narcissus powers, but those are different. They... mostly only affect the person using them, not so many other people.

Iris and Narcissus powers? [ :o ] What do those do, exactly?

They could've at least shared with some of us... but it doesn't matter now.

Oh. An Iris can manifest things from art and stuff, and a Narcissus can copy someone else's looks. That's the closest I've heard of.

That's true... We know how bathrooms without keys.

They sound amazing. If an Iris is creative..... although it sounds like a Narcissus could cause a lot of mischief. Is the flower theme on purpose?

Thank god for that. I would've gone crazy if we were stuck with just those two forever.

Yeah, because they're demiflora. We're not related to plants, before you ask. [ so many people have asked if he's part plant. ] It's just a naming thing.

But it's only a problem if they use those powers.

Even if you're not related to plants, you can still be as beautiful as one. I don't know... if asking it this way is wrong, but what beautiful flower are you named for?

I wouldn't know. I don't really use my powers.

Does using your powers come with a side effect?

It seems that may be the general case, then. Being here takes away more than one thing. Or maybe it's just an adjustment period.

No. It's against the rules.

If it's really true we're dead, then maybe we don't need them.

I don't think I agree with that, but if you didn't use them much when you alive, maybe it's not too much of a difference for you either way.

But I think... for some people, it's a part of them.

Powers like mine wouldn't be much use if we're dead, though. That's what I mean. Like... where would we go?

If more of this space opens up to us, farther than expected. If we weren't limited by the fog... however far your power could take you.

Even if we're dead, I don't think it's the end if we can meet like this.

I could go farther than the space we have now. [ but who knows how the rest of this place will go? does heaven follow normal rules of distance? ] But my guess is other people's powers would be more useful, if they had them.

That's why they call it an "afterlife," isn't it? [ wait a minute. ] Oh, uh - I'm Laurence, by the way.

I don't know if anything I could do would be as useful as teleportation.... Flying is kind of similar.

[ so maybe they're in the same boat when it comes to powers ]

I'd like to get know you better, Laurence. I'm Elysia, named for paradise but no less beautiful than any of the flowers the Demiflora are named for.

Flying's more useful if you need something higher up. What would I do, teleport midair?

Why not? If you can teleport fast enough, it's the same result.
