[Walking around where the beach used to be. He looks a little sad :(

But at least his injuries seem to be better, he's gone from a sling to a few bandages on his arm and instead of having entire eye covered in a bandage, he just has one below his eye and one over his eyebrow.]

The beach is gone.

[ nooo this made me so sad. at least his injuries are better, though, that makes some relief bleed through. ]

Looks like it. Insane that it can do that much.

Why would it even want to get rid of the beach?

Spite, probably. If it can't win the stupid game, we can't have anything nice.

It's not fair but at least the dogs are still there and we found the cats.

I do kind of miss having the cat cafe.

[THEY'RE GOOD DOGS LAURENCE. And maybe super worth it, actually. He brightens a little.]

We can still go visit them where Anders found them, perhaps.

Maybe not, but a curse is a curse. We're just lucky some of us can get rid of those now.

I just don't want you breaking into hives even if I can teleport you to the hospital or something. I don't know how to deal with that.

So what you're saying is you can teleport us to the dogs.

[ the portal swirls to life between his hands and expands beyond to become a proper doorway, glowing the signature yellow-green of a daphne demiflora. for a moment, it shifts uncertainly, but stabilizes after a moment. ]

[The corgis are so good. And even if they did curse them it would be good cursing. Still, he looks at the portal and experimentally sticks his hand through.]

[ kaworu will be able to feel the change in air as he sticks his hand through. maybe a corgi comes over to sniff his fingers.

as for laurence... he flushes immediately. ]

It's just a portal. It's not that special.

[Reaching out to try and pet the puppy like trying to do it through a fence. This is so cool. The freedom...]

I've never seen it before so it's special to me.
