Everyone's been helping me all week.

[ but he is not in a mood to argue about it right now so! he will just slowly sink onto a couch. ]

I suppose it's probably annoying to have everyone help you all the time. But you're also helping me learn more about snacks and food. I don't really know the right things to look for.

[It's not untrue! He is no snack connoisseur. Putting his tongue between his teeth and climbing up onto the counter to check the cupboards.]

I don't know if I like any of this stuff. Even if anything is fine... what do you like?

[Okay! Good to know! He can do that! He pulls out some cookies from the cupboard, along with some fruit, and takes some saved slices of cake from the countertop before he slides down and goes to present his findings by setting them onto the coffee table in front of the bench. He looks shyly hopefully he succeeded.]

[ well. it makes him laugh a little bit. ]

It's kind of a lot, isn't it? You'll have to share it, too.

[Well! Even if the snacks aren't up to snuff at least he got a laugh! He'll drop down next to Laurence on the bench.]

[ he will... grab a slice of cake i guess! he's very out of it still and genuinely doesn't care that much. he takes a bite and mulls it over for a moment. ]

's not bad. Makes up for today.

[ no it doesn't? ]

It makes up for a little bit for a little while, at least.

[He isn't really eating. Instead he curls up around himself, the thing he does when he's pensive or nervous, and watches Laurence. He can't decide if what is happening with his friend right now is good or bad.]

We did what we needed to, so it's plenty.

[ found the killer. no one missing. it's all fine, surely. ]

I always just feel so tired after these.

[ hmmmm. pauses to pat the couch cushions, testing the feel. ]

I slept here during karaoke. It was nice.
